The Human Settlements Adjudication Commission welcomed Atty. Maria Victoria B. Añonuevo-Llanera as the Chief Regional Adjudicator for the Regional Adjudication Branch No. V in Legazpi, Albay. She took her oath of office before Executive Commissioner Melzar P. Galicia virtually through Zoom on Thursday, 14 October 2021.

 

As Chief Regional Adjudicator, she has the authority to hear and decide cases involving real estate development; homeowners associations; the implementation of Section 18 of Republic Act No. 7279, as amended, and its Implementing Rules and Regulations; and laws and regulations being implemented by the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, except those cases falling within the jurisdiction of other judicial or quasi-judicial body.

 

Prior to her appointment, she also served as an arbiter for the HSAC’s predecessor, the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board; and held the position of Officer-In-Charge for RAB No. V.

 

Aside from having a law degree, Atty. Añonuevo-Llanera also has a masters’ degree in public administration.
