The Human Settlements Adjudication Commission (HSAC) held a month-long celebration to commemorate this year’s National Women’s Month with the theme, “WE for gender equality and inclusive society”.
Series of programs and activities were held throughout HSAC offices and Regional Adjudication Branches (RABs) which was kicked off with a virtual flag ceremony on 06 March 2023. All HSAC personnel were in attendance with the Commissioners sharing empowering messages that encouraged equality and inclusivity for all, in and out of the workplace.
To promote health and wellness a webinar was conducted on International Women’s Day with Dr. Jessa Louise C. Cadacio as resource person. Dr. Cadacio provided tips on keeping the mind and body healthy with topics that focused on cervical and prostate cancer awareness, menopausal stage-emotional and physical changes, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Free Zumba classes were also held in line with the initiative.
A livelihood bazaar was also opened and participated by HSAC employees to showcase their entrepreneurial skills by selling their products and goods to coworkers and clients alike. Surprise raffle draws, games and freebies were also prepared for those who visited the booths.
To top it all off, on 29 March 2023, an outreach program was held in partnership with Association of HSAC Employees for Advancement & Development (AHEAD). Eleven boxes of assorted goods, rice, plus cash were gathered and donated to Hospicio de San Jose, a welfare institution located in Isla de Covalencencia, Pasig River.
The National Women’s Month is celebrated nationwide every March, following Proclamation No. 224 s. 1988; Proclamation No, 227 s. 1988; and Republic Act No. 6949 s. 1990.
