The Human Settlements Adjudication Commission (HSAC) signed a Memorandum of Agreement with UnionBank of the Philippines (UBP) to implement an online payment option to settle the legal fees that are being collected by HSAC, Wednesday, November 23 at the Auditorium inside DHSUD/HSAC building in Quezon City.
The initiative was in accordance with the Executive Order No. 170 that orders all government departments, agencies, and instrumentalities of the government, including state universities and colleges, and government-owned or controlled corporations, are directed to adopt digital payments for their respective collections and disbursements.
The partnership promises to continue delivering efficient public service by providing HSAC’s stakeholders with a digital payment and collection method. “The goal is to provide convenience and more options for our stakeholders, it is not more on the convenience of HSAC”, said Executive Commissioner Melzar P. Galicia in an interview.
After signing of the agreement, the integration of UPay in the HSAC website will commence. UPay is the online payment platform of UnionBank that consolidates several payment methods and provides a single integration point for collection needs and offers a white-label payment page that is hosted and operated by the bank to enable immediate collections of payments from payors.
Once stakeholders transact in the HSAC website, U Pay will allow them to choose from several payment options that includes: UB Online, InstaPay, PCHC PayGate, VISA / MC, and redirect them to their selected options. After transactions have been authorized and confirmed, they will be redirected back to the HSAC website. Through U Pay, the HSAC hopes to provide its stakeholders a quicker and more convenient way of settling their legal fees, with just a few clicks!
HSAC still continues to accept other payment methods such as cash, manager’s cheque, and postal money order paid to the HSAC Offices or its Regional Adjudication Branches.
