Quezon City – The Human Settlements Adjudication Commission welcomed on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, its newly appointed Commissioner, Atty. John-Christopher Mahamud. Led by HSAC Executive Commissioner Melzar P. Galicia, Atty. Mahamud, accompanied by his wife, Rose Michelle Mahamud, were toured around the premises of HSAC Quezon City office and were introduced to all the personnel.
Atty. Mahamud who hails from Davao City, was also a City Councilor and chaired the committee on ethics and good governance followed by him being appointed as the Chief of Staff of the National Housing Authority’s General Manager Marcelino P. Escalada, Jr.
During his assumption of Office, Mahamud said that he is happy for the new challenge as well as to be part of the HSAC family.
“Hopefully in the coming days, I can grasp all the functions and responsibilities faster as expected considering that it has been quite some time, we were not able to fill the position of Commissioner”, Mahamud said. “I guess there are a lot of work that I need to catch up. I am positive Comm. Galicia and the other Commissioners will be able to fill me in on the work needed so we can proceed smoothly.”, he added.
In response, Comm. Galicia said “with his experience, especially in the Housing Sector, he will be a significant addition to the Commission.”
